Every day across this nation, the men and women of EMS respond to calls for help. From behind the scenes to the front lines, from the ground to the air, from the scene to the hospital…EMS professionals provide invaluable and vital services to those in need.
They stand together to care for the sick and injured with dedication, skill, courage, and compassion, often in the most adverse of conditions, accepting the great personal sacrifices that come with a life of service to others.
Let us stand together with them now…this time to help them care for their own…those who have made the Ultimate Sacrifice, and lost their lives in the line of duty in EMS.
Together we will build not only physical memorials to honor their lives, but also networks to support families and survivors, as well as programs to promote safety, health, and resilience for our EMS professionals from the ground to the air. It’s about time.

Air Medical Memorial
The Air Medical Memorial recognizes all flight crew member who lost their lives while serving their communities. The memorial honors 358 lost since the inception of air medical services. The Air Medical Memorial holds a remembrance ceremony each spring to honor those lost the prior year.

National EMS Memorial Service
The National EMS Memorial Service is the official service recognized by Congress to honor EMS providers from the United States who have died in the line of duty. The National EMS Memorial Service is currently held each year on the last Saturday of June.
